Weddings are always very personal and unique celebrations, with each one having its own nuances. Even still, the overall wedding trends can give inspiration to bride-to-be’s for their own extravaganzas! Here are some more of the exciting new trends for weddings to look for and adopt in 2007:

The Bride’s Gown in All Its Detailed Glory
This year’s wedding gowns are going to be detail-oriented like never before! Embellishments such as jewels, lace, and embroidery are everywhere, especially on the back of the bride’s gown. Since the couple usually has their back facing the guests, it would only make sense to entertain and wow your audience with deliciously delicate and elaborate designs on the back of your gown! A renewed interest in sleeves is introducing yet another location to add details. We’re not talking fully covered arms though, more cap-sleeves and definitely on the delicate, probably lace side. Of course, all these embellishments go hand in hand with the image of glamour so it all works!

Let Them Have Entertainment
Gone are the days of boring cocktail hours where guests try to get to know each other while waiting for the bridal party to finish photographs. Couples are more and more interested in entertaining their guests as much as possible during the cocktail hour. Signature cocktails that match the color scheme, tasty hor d’oeuvres served with style and energetic live music. The focus is on entertaining and impressing their guests! (Lucky guests!)

Geometry, my dear!
Instead of round tables, couples and wedding planners alike are leaning more towards square or geometric shapes. For couples who like order, this allows for easy matching and even match-making. Wedding planners go for the square because it’s perfect to show off key splashes of personality to support the wedding theme: from unique and conversation-starting centerpieces to elegant candles to colorful table runners. Square tables also give off a clean, modern feel that, of course, works with the glamor focus.

The Buffet Just Got Sweeter
Don’t stop at just the wedding cake! Sure it’s beautiful with its cake topper (back in popularity too) and just as delicious, but now couples are offering Viennese (dessert) tables too! Full of delicious treats and custom sweets, the Viennese table is great for wedding receptions because it offers such a wide variety of desserts for those guests who want a little something extra. To make it all your own, add in a traditional family dessert.

Cultural Honeymoons
A beach filled honeymoon, lounging with a cocktail is nothing to scoff at. However, more and more couples are opting for culture-filled locales such as ancient ruins of Latin America or Asia to the action- and excitement filled activities throughout America to beautiful city-spots of Europe. The Caribbean lounging will always be a top-pick!

With these great new inspirations and ideas in hand, go and have yourselves a fantastic wedding or just enjoy the beauty of one!
