As the bride, you set the style and tone of your wedding (along with everything else) the way you want it, just by what you choose to wear. Granted, your wedding dress and the level of formality for your wedding aren’t always solidly connected. If she really wanted, a bride can certainly choose to don a less formal wedding dress for a formal evening wedding or whatever she decides even if it doesn’t fit the occasion just right according to wedding purists out there. There are general guidelines though when it comes to the famous and fabulous wedding dress and how formal the wedding can become.

While this may not be a real wedding cake, I absolutely felt, as a baker, that this deserved a spot on our weekly wedding cake lineup! As an artist and “crafter” of baked goods mostly for weddings, I am amazed and inspired by this wonderful concoction! I may not be a fiber crafter but I have fully believe this crocheted wedding cake had to have taken a long time! Probably equally as long as it takes for edible wedding cakes! Truly inspirational and just amazing to look at! I mean just check out her details! The flowers, ribbons, structurally everything looks just as a real wedding cake would! From a baker to a crafter, kudos on a great wedding cake!

As far as wedding gifts go, cookware, bakeware, stemware, barware are all normal and wonderfully appreciated gifts to give (and awesome to receive)! And what foodie bride and groom wouldn’t love to have more and more kitchen gear? However, I’m not just sure about this particular set from Le Creuset as a wedding gift. Don’t get me wrong, I love Le Creuset for their awesome and beautifully sophisticated products! But, this all heart ensemble, for me, a smidge much. Although, I’m sure that with the pots, it really wouldn’t matter what shape they are when you’re cooking your first dinner party as newlyweds but would you give this as a wedding gift? Cheesy but it’s cute though! Your thoughts?
