Really, when it comes to color, it all depends on what the bride has her heart set on. A gown (and shoes and all other accessories) can be dyed to match whatever shade of whatever color the bride wants to have as her wedding colors. The Styles of the Gown - The Fabrics

When it comes to a wedding gown, there are so many choices and combinations of color, fabric, accoutrements, etc. Too many to count, really!

Even trends are somewhat multi-sided: there are many designers who covet the minimalist look sans accoutrements to let the gown shine on its own, there are also designers who return to the traditional flourishes with details and intricate designs. So for a bride, there are so many options and so many combinations, yet only a number of months before the big “runway” walk down the aisle!

In an effort to help make sense of all the options, the BrideFu Team compiled this post to show the, currently, most common fabrics and colors used in gowns with photos from well-known bridal designers with exquisite style as well as haute couture designers whose designs are truly, well, works of art. Know thyself. Very handy phrase when it comes to clothing and especially for wedding gowns. Ah yes, wedding gowns. It’s what dreams of many, if not all, little girls’ dreams are made of. To be princess for a day, center of attention. Everyone ooh-ing and aah-ing over you. Well before you get to that point, you have to pick out that perfect dress, the one that will make your groom’s jaw drop but yet be such a dress of elegance and class that relatives will be in awe. So off you go to find “the one” wedding gown. Before you start shopping for anything, the most important thing for you to know first is what body shape you are. If you know this, then you’ll be able to pick out dresses that make you look fantastic! Go with your gut feeling and what makes you look and feel fabulous, like a princess!
